Nurse was very kind. Explained how my wound is
A thorough and personal session that left me feeling listened to and very well informed about my son’s development and treatment plan.
Really great
I attended the Walk-in Centre with a very painful UTI which I had already had for a week and which I had called 111 about earlier that day. I waited for 3 hours to be seen at the Walk-in Centre. Once taken, the nurse tested my urine sample in which there was still blood. She then consulted another individual and told me that they were unable to authorise another prescription for antibiotics for me. I had already been given two that didn't work and I had told this to the 111 call handler. I waited 3 hours in pain to hear this. The nurse could not suggest any way for me to deal with my pain apart from paracetamol which does not help a severe infection. I am 65 years old. I was very upset and horrified to be sent away with nothing. When I got home I was in agony and so I called 111 again and an out of hours doctor called me 5 hours later at 9pm. He wrote a prescription for me but unfortunately the pharmacy was closed so I had to wait until Sunday morning to get the antibiotics I needed. I had another night of excruciating pain. If I hadn't waited unnecessarily for 3 hours I would have had my medication that same day. This is appalling "service".
Georgie (Loby) was very kind and patient. I had so many questions and concerns and she answered each of them thoroughly. I was initially worried that if my son got discharged, it would take a very long time to get a referral (and effort) if later on we have any concerns. Georgie reassured me that it wouldn't be the case and I could simply get in touch. This was very reassuring.
Doctors and nurses are lovely and professional. Very friendly. Wait times are long but not hospitals fault.
Because iam please about this.
felt listened too and treated well
